Allama Syed Mohammad Madni Ashrafi is a scholar and spiritual leader considered as Sheikh ul-Islam. He was born in 1938 in Uttar Pradesh India.

He is the founder of Shaikhul Islam Trust, and supports many Sunni organizations in India. He is one of the greatest supporter of unity amongst different school of thoughts in Sunni’s.

His most important contribution is Tafsir e-Ashrafi, an exogenesis of al-Quran, besides being written of number of other books about Islamic philosophy and Fiqh.
